Magenup Equestrian Centre

The Magenup Equestrian Centre was built from money that was gained from the sale of Blocks on Wandi. As most of the people who buy in Wandi are horse owners. The centre consists of a Clubroom, with kitchen, storage area and of course The necessary toilets etc. This Equestrian Centre is the only one of its kind in the south of WA and Is widely recognised as being a regional centre. By upgrading the main arena It will bring the centre once again to its full potential.

We have a sand arena, which is open to all comers, to use, and is widely used by the locals. Also there is a 150m x 100m fully enclosed large arena, which at the moment is under restricted use, as the Council are in the process of upgrading the surface, as over the years it has become soft in places. Prior to this, the grounds would be rented out to various Horse Clubs for events, Hack Shows, Breed Shows and Clinics with overseas or Interstate instructors.

There are several Clubs that use the centre on a regular basis, these are;

There is a Management Committee, made up from these clubs, and they oversee The general day to day running of the centre. The sand arena can be booked for private use and also the clubrooms are available.

The President is Pam Nelson (9397 0962) who is in charge of bookings and general upkeep.
